EU Officials Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders including Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions targeted individuals who have been central to efforts to introduce laws governing American tech companies.
“For too long, European activists have led coordinated campaigns to pressure American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official online. “This government will no longer tolerate such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
